Karen Morgan is often referred to as "New Hampshire's "First Lady of Country Music." This is because Karen has received more awards than any other person in the history of the New Hampshire Country Music Association. She has won the N.H. State Female Vocalist category in 1991, 1992, & 1993, as well as the Female Entertainer category in 1991, 1992, & 1994. From there she has gone on to win the New England Regional Awards Show categories for Female Vocalist in 1992, 1993, & 1994 and the Female Entertainer in 1992 & 1993. In 1996, Karen, with her band, Pony Express, became the NHCMA "Vocal Group of the Year". Karen and her band have also gone on to win many of these as National awards in Las Vegas, at the National CMA competitions held there annually. In 2001, Karen was inducted into the NHCMA Hall of Fame, the youngest inductee in the history of the organization.

A skillful vocalist and entertainer, Karen has also penned a number of original compositions. Her foot-stomping, hand-clapping tune "Raised Up", received the 1993 honor as the New Hampshire Country Music Association's "Song of the Year." At the 1994 competitions held in Las Vegas, Nevada, by the National Country Music Association, "Raised Up" went on to become National CMA "Song of the Year". At this same event, Karen was also named "Songwriter of the Year." At the 1994 New Hampshire Country Music Association Awards show, "Raised Up" garnished another award as
" Recording of the Year". Karen also recorded the song, "Don't Walk Out That Door", that was recognized by both the NHCMA and the National CMA as the "Recording of the Year".
Karen, with her band, have been with NHCMA for the longest duration of any band. She has served on the NHCMA board, and has done more benefits for the organization than any one to date.
As a Summa Cum Laude graduate from Emerson College with a Bachelor's degree in Theatre Education and Music, Karen is happiest when performing on stage in front of an audience. Her unique combination of song styling and a magnificent vocal quality has made her a sought after commodity in the New England Region.
Her vocal abilities allow her to transcend from "Classic Country" to poignant soul-searching ballads in addition to powerful renditions of today's "New Country".
